I documented a typical day in the life of a busy working mom and college student, and I was surprised by how much media I use. Taking time to stop and log each interaction made me more mindful and curious about my choices.
Similar to tracking calories or a workout routine, I became interested in every piece of media I consumed, interacted with and created. It made me to reflect on the choices that were intentional and the ones that were simply habits.
The most credible forms of media for me come from the news outlets and podcasts I follow, Pod Save America and Ride are a few of my favorites. I tend to trust established news sources like the NY Times, Reuters, the BBC News and NPR. These are established news outlets that have solid fact checking history and are know for their editorial oversight.
